Vivian Dickerson, M.D.
has served as a scientific advisor to the Company since December 2005. She
presently serves as Medical Director of Women's Health at Hoag Hospital. Dr.
Dickerson has served as an associate professor at the University of California,
Irvine ("UCI") and director of the division of general obstetrics and
gynecology at the UCI Medical Center. A specialist in menopause, Dr. Dickerson
has served as director of UCI's Post Reproductive Women's Integrative Health
Center. Dr. Dickerson recently spent two years as a senior research analyst at
the Susan Samueli Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine in Irvine.
Dr. Dickerson was the past president of The American College of Obstetricians
and Gynecologists (“ACOG”), and has been an active member of ACOG for the past
20 years, holding numerous ACOG offices. She has chaired ACOG's District IX
(California) as well as ACOG's Council of District Chairs, the Committee on
International Affairs, the Grievance Committee, and the Administrative
Commission. Dr. Dickerson also has served on ACOG's Committees on Credentials,
Professional Liability, Obstetric Practice, and Nominations. She received her
medical degree from the University of California, San Diego and completed
residency training at UCLA's Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. |
